Just wanted to update you on how I find the Beirn Jenna Bag that I bought from Piperlime. The Beirn Jenna bag is a hobo-shaped bag made of watersnake hide. I wrote about it being featured in Sex and the City the Movie (http://dshoppingbug.com/wp/2008/06/06/sex-and-the-city-beirn-watersnake-bag/).

I have been using my Beirn Jenna Bag for 2 weeks now and it is one of my favorite. I got the natural grey white color and I didn’t regret it.

Aside from it being roomy, it’s color matches anything that I wear. I use it in the office and it goes well with my black blazer and slacks or any bold color that I wear.

The Beirn Jenna Bag can still be purchased at Piperlime. So far the orange leather carried by Carrie was sold out and only this natural gray & celadon (green) are left.

This year Father’s Day falls on June 15, Sunday.

I must admit I have numerous ideas for a mom’s day gift…but for dads??? It is quite difficult because my dad has simple tastes and needs.

So a simple Happy Father’s Day greeting would do for my dad, nice sweet & full of love!

I told you gals that I would be one of the earlybirds to watch the movie SATC for I am just one of the legions of fans of this hit HBO tv series.

When I was inside the movie house almost 97% of the viewers were female while there was a spatter of male(?) viewers. I had my hubby in tow ‘coz it was my turn to choose a movie (last week was Indiana Jones, his turn).

The movie answered what every woman ultimately desires in life.

The movie also brought a closure to Carrie & Mr Big but I’m not going to dwell on that and leave it to a movie critique to do that job.

I was teary eyed in some scenes but for the most part, my jaw dropped and I drooled at the luxe bags, clothes & shoes of the 4 female leads. Even Jennifer Hudson playing Carrie’s PA carries branded bags albeit rented

Watching the movie became a name that designer bag for ever gal. There are too many brands to mention like Hermes green Birkin, Gucci Joy I heart NY bag, Chanel, Fendi, LVs like Firebird Bag (given by Carrie to Louis), Damier Azur Travel Case etc etc

But do you know this bag and its designer?

This Eiffel Tower Bag is cute & quirky picked by one of the hottest stylist in the business, Patricia Field. Her website is selling the bag until it ran out of stock. The version carried by Carrie Bradshaw was Swarowski encrusted and cost about $3000.

I can’t get enough of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda & Charlotte and I will surely buy the DVD when it comes out as part of dshoppingbug’s fashion collection.

It was a nice relaxing 3 day holiday for me and my hubby and now we are back to work!

I came across two neat and exciting gadgets that I find very useful for all females.

The first is Zeno Acne/Pimple Treatment which my good friend LK told me a few months back. I didn’t take notice until recently I had a breakout (for to eating too much Chippy & V Cut which I really miss).

Price: $150

It is handy like a small cellphone and runs on a rechargeable battery. The treatment process is done by killing the acne bacteria through heat, reducing the inflammation and as a result the skin returns to its normal pimple-free state.

The limitation of this device is that it treats developing or just recently developed pimples. It is only for mild to moderate cases of acne. It’s not to be used for blackheads or whiteheads treatment as well. Using Zeno is best when done under the advice of your dermatologist.

Initially, I would like to post a before and after pic of my pimple and how it goes down from Day 1 to Day 3, however my hubby said it’s gross and I myself would not want to expose myself to such an unbecoming look!

The next gadget is not yet out in the market but I am hoping that it will be effective as it promises to be. This is the Tria Laser Hair Removal for home use.

Amidst laser treatments negative publicity back in the Philippines in which a laser clinic center botched up a patient’s legs and burned the woman’s legs turning it into zebra-looking-stripes, I still find laser treatments to be the most effective and long lasting among all hair removing techniques (i.e. razor shaver, hot wax, depilatory cream). It is actually safe if the clinic is reputable and regularly maintains the equipment. So you have to investigate the clinic’s credentials before undergoing such. Because of the expensive laser equipment and the regular maintenance it entails, the service is costly but imagine after completing the treatment sessions you will be hair free for a long time. If there are any growth afterwards it will just be very very minimal and the hair is no longer that visible. I had mine done when I was still in the Philippines at Marie France and later from my derma-doctor friend DC.

For the Tria hair removal system, I heard it costs about $1000, quite expensive. However, if you’re shy like me in exposing yourself to an attendant then doing it yourself is the best thing. Let’s just wait for this product to come out and prove itself safe and effective.

It is Memorial Day Weekend (24-26May) and this is the time usually reserved for an out of town trip whether to an outlet store or to a scenic destination

6. Gap - it is offering $2o off when you purchase $100 or more. Gap and its sisters company Banana Rep, Old Navy & Piperlime also has a simplified checkout system wherein you buy from 4 stores online and you only get charged 1 flat shipping fee of $7. Not bad huh!

The price of gas is so expensive now, so instead of driving to the mall and going to each of these stores, why not shop online?

One of my favorite TV show is Ugly Betty and I noticed Betty has a favorite bag that she brings along almost everywhere! It is a multi-colored straw tote bag similar to the straw bags (bayong) in the Philippines.

I found out that this multi-colored bag is made by Rebagz. It is constructed of recycled nylon and plastic from fruit juice packs (zesto?) and rice bags. I am right to recognize it as something that might come from back home as the company deals with NGOs/non-profit groups in the Philippines. Rebagz work with NGOs to pay its workers fair wages and source only recycled materials.

America Ferrera received this multi-colored tie tote as part of a loot bag from Entertainment Weekly’s Emmy Awards party and she used it in many of her shoots in Ugly Betty.

Other celebs with Rebagz bag are Halle Berry, Sheryl Crow, Gwen Stefani and many more! You might not like this interwoven style, but let me assure you it has other design than basket weave. They have cellphone pouches, coin purses, bags with flower prints, animal prints….for sure you will fall in love with at least one design!

As for me, I particulary like this limited edition Panda bag because I love pandas and collect panda stuff toys.
